Davy Crocket was my subject for last week’s Weekly Draw Off.

You would think that having the last 5 days off from work, I would be able to finish one of my WDO drawings. But alas, I only got this weeny little sketch done before the hard deadline, which is Monday at 2:00 pm central time. This image will get developed a bit more, however so check back soon.

Mirage

Gonna have to finish this one up. Last week’s Weekly Draw Off subject was “Your Favorite Transformer”. Mine was always the formula 1 racer, Mirage. He has an awesome shoulder cannon that I know made it’s way into my childhood drawings more than once, only to be replaced later by the timeless M41-A Pulse Rifle from Aliens.

I enjoy collecting and reading graphic novels and comics from certain artists. One of my favorite artists around, Jake Parker, has spun up a KickStarter project to fund the self-publishing of “The Antler Boy and Other Stories”.

Ireland Panorama

Erin and I were sifting through images to print and hang the other day and ran across this awesome pic from our honeymoon in Ireland. This is from Mizen Head, the southernmost point in Ireland.

The magnificence of the spot is inadequately represented by this image, but it is still a nice photo. The rocks down in the water there look close in the shot, but in reality they are about 200 feet below where Erin is standing in the crook of the staircase. She is about 100 feet below where I was standing when I took the pictures.

This was one of the most awe inspiring places Erin or I had ever been. The enormity and power of the ocean there is unimaginable. Waves taller than a ship pound against the most dangerous looking rocks. Anything caught between the two would be completely pulverized. It was amazing!

Jacquio was the game boss from the NES game series Ninja Gaiden – one of the most frustratingly addictive games ever made.
